2. SmackDown Live Star Gets Punished At SummerSlam 2017?

As we noted yesterday, The Dirty Sheets podcast reported that there’s backstage heat on SmackDown Live commentator JBL and the SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi.

On the latest edition of SmackDown Live, JBL asked Naomi an unscripted question on if she’ll have a special entrance for her Women’s Title match against Natalya at SummerSlam 2017. To this question, Naomi replied yes, she’ll have a special entrance at the biggest event of the Summer.

There’s backstage heat on them for these comments because WWE officials planned special entrances for Finn Balor (The Demon King) and Shinsuke Nakamura (#1 contender for the WWE Championship) only and due to these comments, they’ll now have to think about doing a special entrance for Naomi at the last minute.

It should be noted that Naomi didn’t receive a special entrance for SummerSlam 2017 (she had her normal GLOW entrance) and went on to lose the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Natalya via submission.

One of the reasons for Naomi dropping the Title could be this backstage heat or the fact that the GLOW replicas of the SmackDown Women’s Championship (that WWE officials plan to market) won’t be available till December and till then WWE official will let someone else hold the Title and have Naomi recapture the Title towards the end of this year.
