How many of you Old School Fans, remember “The Original Screwjob”?
November 25, 1985 at the Madison Square Garden, WWF Women’s Champion Wendi Richter, who refused to sign a new WWF contract, had no idea she was going to drop the belt to her opponent, the masked Spider Lady.
The Referee, who was in on the plan, fast counted Wendi during a pinfall, thus screwed her of the Championship.
After the match, the Spider Lady was unmasked as The Fabulous Moolah.
