• Terry Funk Is Suffering From Dementia

WWE Hall of Famer Don Muraco revealed on his podcast that fellow Hall of Famer Terry Funk (age 77) is suffering from dementia and is in an assisted living facility in Amarillo, Texas.

Here’s what Muraco said:

“I heard that Terry Funk is in a home and disabled with dementia. I spoke with Scott Casey over the weekend, and I guess he’s driving to Amarillo, all the way to way down to Amarillo, so I don’t know. I know his wife passed away two or three years ago.”

PWInsider confirmed this as well.

Funk has been dealing with health issues for a while now, which worsened after the death of his wife in 2019.

Funk’s official Twitter account (managed by Flannelgraph Records) issued the following statement:

“Yes, Mr. Funk is currently receiving residential care for his multiple health issues, which do affect his mind as well as the rest of his body. As you can imagine, some days are better than others. He & his family appreciate all of your kind words!

FOREVER!”
