1. WCW World Championship Wrestling

WCW World Championship Wrestling is a former Professional Wrestling Promotion, that was based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Originally the company was called NWA Jim Crockett Promotions and was based in Charlotte, North Carolina, but it got sold to Ted Turner in late 1988 and renamed WCW.

The original company started in 1931 but only became a part of the NWA National Wrestling Alliance in 1952.

In March 2001 WCW World Championship Wrestling was sold to WWF promoter Vince McMahon.
