On this day in Pro Wrestling history on April 5, 1997, Jerry Jarrett’s & Jerry “The King” Lawler’s United States Wrestling Association aired an episode of their weekly TV Show.

The show featured pre-taped matches and interviews including several USWA Wrestlers.

1997 was the last year of the USWA territory, before its successor Memphis Power Pro Wrestling took over.

At this point, the USWA was sort of a developmental promotion for the World Wrestling Federation

• The Undertaker Reportedly Wants To Return As The American Badass At WrestleMania 35

As we noted before, The Dirty Sheets originally reported that The Undertaker is set to return at WrestleMania 35 and work a segment with Elias.

Undertaker is expected to interrupt Elias, deliver a Tombstone Piledriver and then leave. There’s no match planned AS OF NOW.

In an update to this, Slice Wrestling is now reporting that The Undertaker wants to return this Sunday as ‘The American Badass’ and wants to work with either Elias or WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

Vince McMahon will be the one to make the final decision on this situation and we’ll keep you updated regarding this.
