Cain Velasquez vs Brock Lesnar - WWE Title Match At WWE Crown Jewel 2019

• “There’s always going to be friction with that” – Former WWE Wrestler On Working With Brock Lesnar

At the UFC 121 PPV in 2010, Cain Velasquez defeated Brock Lesnar to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

9 Years later, they had a rematch, but this time in a WWE ring at the Crown Jewel 2019 PPV in Saudi Arabia. Lesnar won this match via Submission in just 88 seconds.

During an interview on The MMA Hour, Velasquez said there was some friction while working with Lesnar in WWE due to their past.

Here’s what he said:

“There’s always going to be friction with that. So yeah, there was, but working together…we didn’t work much, but talking to him just for that little bit, I just know where he comes from, just from that little time spent, and I mean very little.

I know what he’s about, and I respect him for that. What you see out there when he performs, all that sh*t, he lives it, he breathes it. That’s him. That persona that you see, that’s him out there. That’s his true self.

Close quarters, he’s obviously more human, but that’s him, and I saw that.”
