8. WWE Releases Alberto Del Rio
Former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio, who was recently suspended for 30 days due to a WWE Wellness policy violation, has been released by WWE.

Below is what WWE posted:

STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE and Jose Rodriguez (Alberto Del Rio) have mutually agreed upon the terms of his release as of today, September 9, 2016.

We noted before how Del Rio wasn’t happy with his WWE creative plans. When he signed with WWE last year, he was promised that he would get a main event push, which didn’t happen. Also, Triple H isn’t a fan of Del Rio’s work and didn’t want him to get a main event push.

It should be noted that Del Rio’s recent run with WWE started by defeating John Cena for the United States Championship at Hell in a Cell 2015, and ended with John Cena defeating him on SmackDown Live. You can watch them below:
