5. Tony Khan Reveals His Favorite WWF Match Of All Time
All Elite Wrestling promoter Tony Khan recently appeared on Busted Open Radio and revealed his two favorite professional wrestling matches of all time.
While one of them is an AEW match (Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. The Young Bucks), which he obviously put in there for marketing purposes to put over his own promotion, his second choice is the classic ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage vs. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat match from WrestleMania III for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
Here’s what Khan had to say when asked about his favorite match(es):
“Okay, there’s two matches I go back and watch every year. One is very recent, they’re completely different.
One of them is Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. The Young Bucks, which to me is as good a tag match as I’ve seen. The other is Savage vs. Steamboat. I go back and watch it every year.
They’re completely different, one has all the bells and whistles, one has less bells and whistles.
They’re both perfect, one is my favorite tag team match, the other is my favorite singles match.
So yeah, Hangman & Kenny vs. The Young Bucks and Savage and Steamboat.”
