Edge aka Adam Copeland debuted in All Elite Wrestling last night.

In the main event of the AEW WrestleDream PPV, Nick Wayne turned heel to help Christian Cage defeat Darby Allin to retain the TNT Championship 2-1 in a 2 out of 3 falls match.

Christian, Nick & Luchasaurus attacked Darby & Sting after the match, which led to WWE Hall of Famer “Edge” Adam Copeland making his debut and saving the babyfaces! You can watch it below:

After the PPV went off the air, Edge appeared on the post-show media scrum. Below are the highlights:

– Edge will be a full-time wrestler in AEW. He’ll be there every week and he’ll do it for as long as he can.

– Edge said he’s in AEW to help talent, as he feels he can really do that here. He also wants to face wrestlers that he has never faced before, like Samoa Joe, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega & Claudio Castagnoli.

– He said he felt free when he appeared at WrestleDream. He’s very excited, which is very special after debuting 31 years ago.

– He will appear on Wednesday’s 4-year anniversary episode of Dynamite to cut his first AEW promo.

– Edge will face Luchasaurus in his AEW debut match on the October 10th Tuesday special episode of Dynamite, which will go head-to-head with WWE NXT.

– He is willing to help everybody that wants his help and they can approach him anytime.

– Edge revealed that a kid spotted him at a restaurant when he was hiding before WrestleDream.

– He said it was important for him to come out to his long-time theme song ‘Metalingus’ as it sets the tone for his character.

– AEW World Champion MJF appeared and said the following about Edge’s signing:

“He’s another guy that’s coming into my company that wants my spot and he’s got another f***ing thing coming if he thinks he’s just going to take it. Great sign, though. Good job, Tony.”

MJF later called Edge an incredible Professional Wrestler in all sincerity.

The ROH Tag Team Champion then called Adam by his WWE name “Edge” and AEW President Tony Khan stopped him right there by interrupting with “Woah, woah, woah…”.

You can watch it below:

– TNT Champion Christian Cage was asked about his best friend Edge joining the company. He said that Luchasaurus is his only friend. He said he was surprised to see Edge tonight, but he doesn’t care about Adam coming to AEW.

Christian also said that Nick Wayne made a smart decision by joining him, and he will mold Nick into a fine man that will one day have everything he does.

– Tony Khan revealed that WrestleDream did more than 100,000 pay-per-view buys. This was more than the PPV buys for All Out 2023. Tony noted that adding new pay-per-view events has been financially beneficial for the company, but they don’t plan to do one every month as of now.
