Top 10 Old School Wrestlers in TNA Wrestling History

6. “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair

One of the Greatest Names when it comes to “OLD SCHOOL” Professional Wrestling.

Flair has helped bringing his friend Hulk Hogan to WCW in 1994 and 16 years later, the Hulkster returned the favor by talking Dixie Carter into signing the Nature Boy to a TNA contract and have him debut on the 3 Hour Live Special of iMPACT on January 10th 2010, the same episode that also saw the debut of Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff. Officially retired after losing a retirement match against Shawn Michaels at WWE Wrestlemania 24, Ric Flair didn’t want to stay retired, so joining TNA was the only option to still being able to wrestle on major Pro-Wrestling Television.

Not only has Ric Flair managed AJ Styles & the 4tune stable, he has also played a major part as member of the Immortal stable. He ended up competing in 12 TNA matches (including 2 PPVs, 8 episodes of iMPACT Wrestling & 2 Houseshows) before asking for his release in May of 2012, which led to the Nature Boy getting fired from TNA for good.

5. “Big Sexy” Kevin Nash

Debuting in late 2004 at the TNA Victory Road 2004 PPV, Kevin Nash would stay with the promotion until being written off on the iMPACT episode after TNA Bound For Glory 2010, where he would decline an offer to join the newly founded Immortal Stable and just walked away for good.

Kevin Nash had a pretty good run in TNA, where he not only legitimized the X-Division by feuding against them in 2006, but has also been a founding Main Event Mafia member in 2008-2009. During his final Year, he re-united the nWo new World order in TNA, but due to WWE owning the nWo copyright, it had to be named “The Band”, alltho they used a very similar nWo-Style logo.

After being gone for 3 months, Dixie Carter tried to bring Kevin Nash back by signing him to a new TNA contract in January of 2011, but Kevin Nash turned them down at the last second and instead appeared as a surprise entrant in the 2011 WWE Royal Rumble match.
