4. WWE SummerSlam 2005

This was not only the very last great SummerSlam ever, but with that much star power, good matches, great action, a cool PPV theme song & entertaining storylines, the 2005 edition is also considered a true classic and among the best ones ever, if we consider all those different factors.

While THE highlight that night was of course the legendary ‘Legend vs. Legend’ match between “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan & “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, there were several other big matches on the card as well, just like the ‘Legend vs. Legend Killer’ Undertaker vs. Randy Orton match, Cena defending his WWE World Title against “Y2J” Chris Jericho, Batista defending his World Heavyweight Title against JBL, Edge vs. Matt Hardy in a Grudge Match to settle their hateful, real life rivalry, and last but not least Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio in a Ladder match with the Custody of Dominick on the line.

Apart from Lesnar & Goldberg being gone at that point in time, this was The Ruthless Aggression Era at its best!
