4. Kurt Angle (2005)
The Olympic Gold Medailist Kurt Angle is considered one of the biggest Stars in Professional Wrestling today.
And he’s arguably the 6th biggest Star of the famous Attitude Era, only behind The Rock, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, The Undertaker & Triple H. While John Cena lost to him quite a few times in 2003 & 2004, John Cena managed to get his wins back during their 2005 Feud when John Cena was the WWE Champion, and a Heel Kurt Angle with Heel Manager Daivari in his corner, challenged for the belt.
Cena beat him clean on untelevised Live Events (Houseshows) all over the world, but he also had the upper hand during their WWE Survivor Series 2005 Showdown, with Angle’s manager as Special Referee. God knows how many other Matches they would have had, but unfortunately Kurt Angle has left the WWE in the Summer of 2006, when Vince fired him to take time off and get rid of his pain killer addiction. Kurt Angle then joined TNA right after his 90 days no-compete clause was over, and he has been with them ever since.
Kurt’s TNA contract is up in January and he has already announced that he won’t renew it. So now it’s up to Vince McMahon & Triple H to sign him back where he belongs.
