Mr. Babyface Doink himself … if you have seen the Babyface Doink Gimmick on weekly WWF TV or WWF PPV, it was him who played the Gimmick, except for a few weeks in late 1993.
After the original Doink was fired, a few Wrestlers played the gimmick on Houseshows and weekly WWF Shows, before Ray took over the Gimmick in January of 1994. So from that point forward, up until the end of Doink The Clown’s full time WWF run in September 1995, the gimmick was portrayed by Ray Apollo.
The Babyface Doink Gimmick is one of the most hated and most criticized Gimmicks of all time, but – like it or not – Ray Apollo is the man who has played the gimmick the longest, for almost 2 Years straight, including most appearances in History as Doink The Clown on WWF TV & WWF PPV.
