• Trish Stratus On If WrestleMania 39 Match Is A One-Off
Trish Stratus last competed in a WWE ring at SummerSlam 2019, where she lost to Charlotte Flair.
She will come out of retirement at WrestleMania 39, where she will team up with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita & Becky Lynch to take on Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) in a 6-woman tag team match.
During an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Trish was asked if this is going to be a one-off match for her or if she’ll stick around for more.
Below is what the former 7-time Women’s Champion said:
“I mean, for now, let’s get to WrestleMania and see what’s gonna happen. It’s a big, you know, departure… I’m judging for Canada’s Got Talent as you know. My businesses and my babies.
It’s only been a couple of weeks on the road, I’m like, ‘woo, yeah, okay.’ It’s quite the balance. I got child care in place so there’s all these things to consider.
I have to go train at night time. When I put my kids to bed, I go train from 9 till midnight so, it’s all these things to consider.
It’s definitely not a full-time job. I can’t do this as a full-time job right now because there’s other jobs as well but I mean, let’s get to WrestleMania and see what happens.”
As we have reported before, Trish is scheduled to turn heel and face Becky at SummerSlam 2023.
