In the main event of today’s UFC 280 pay-per-view in Abu Dhabi, Islam Makhachev defeated Charles Oliveira to capture the UFC Lightweight Championship.
Islam celebrated the win with his mentor, UFC Hall Of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov.

After the match, Islam dedicated his victory to Khabib’s father and put the Title on Khabib’s shoulder.
Khabib & Islam then challenged UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski, and he agreed to fight Islam next.
