• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday
Today would have been the 81st birthday of Old School NWA/WWF Veteran The Spoiler (Real name: Don Jardine).
After a long and successful career in several Territories, The Spoiler joined the World Wrestling Federation roster in the summer of 1984.
When the WWF purchased Georgia Championship Wrestling to get their TBS timeslot, The Spoiler was a house hold name, whom the TBS viewers were familiar with, so Vince signed him to a deal.
When he went to the WWF, the NWA stripped him of the NWA National Heavyweight Championship, that he held at that time.
