• The record-setting 1,316-day Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign of Roman Reigns is over. However, The Tribal Chief isn’t taking rest and is back training at the gym already.
He posted a video of him doing cardio and wrote the following:
“Yesterday I mourned.
Today is Day 1.”
As of this writing, Roman’s next WWE appearance might be in a few months from now, as he is currently being advertised for the final SmackDown before SummerSlam 2024.
• Monday’s RAW after WrestleMania 40 drew an average of 2.36 million viewers with a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is up from last week’s 1.78 million viewers with a 0.59 rating.
Viewership for RAW peaked during the Cody Rhodes – The Rock opening segment, which drew 3.20 million viewers with a 1.10 rating in the 18-49 demo.
This segment outdrew the viewership of the “Trial of Roman Reigns” segment from last year, which was the only WWE segment in recent memory to draw over 3 million viewers on TV, until this Cody – Rock segment after a very successful WrestleMania weekend.
• WrestleMania 40 has become the most streamed entertainment event in Peacock’s history.
Over the course of both nights, viewers watched the show for a staggering 1.3 billion minutes throughout the weekend.
This marked the second busiest weekend for Peacock, with only the NFL Wild Card game and subsequent day on January 13th and 14th surpassing it in usage.
Viewership for WrestleMania XL was 41% more than that of WrestleMania 39.
• WWE announced a total attendance of 145,298 for WrestleMania 40, with 72,543 fans attending Night 1 and 72,755 fans attending Night 2.
The total gate (revenue from ticket sales) was $38.4 million. This was 78% more than the gate for WrestleMania 39, which was $21.6 million.
