Val Venis wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (later WWE) for 10 years from 1998 until 2008 and was eventually fired in January 2009.

He is very outspoken about his political opinion, which is neither the view of a Democrat nor a Republican. Val refers to himself as a Liberal, but he’s clearly different from other liberal people as he also has some conservative views mixed in there.

In the past, the former WWF Intercontinental Champion spoke out against transgender people competing in professional sports as the gender they identify for, but weren’t born as, which caused some people from the LGBTQ community to call independent pro wrestling promoters and tell them that Venis is too controversial and they shouldn’t book him or cancel their already scheduled bookings of him.

That led to the following Facebook post by the WWF Attitude Era Veteran:

“Hello wrestling fans. Just a heads up.

I will finish up obligations on my next 2 appearances (I won’t say when or where until the day of as the LGBTQ+++XYZ nutjobs like to threaten promoters for booking me).

As of today, I will no longer be taking any further public bookings for the foreseeable future.

Tired of being booked & then canceled due to my political positions. Thanks.”

For those who missed it, Venis tweeted the following in June 2023:

“Barack Obama is gay & Michelle Obama is a man.

Giselle Shaw is a man & Nyla Rose is a man.

But neither Giselle Shaw or Nyla Rose stole any of my money.

Barack Obama on the other hand ‘taxed’ a sh*tload money away for 8 years & bought his b*tch boy Michael Obama a mansion.”
