• Vince McMahon Could Soon Be Gone From WWE Forever
Earlier this year, Vince McMahon returned to the Board Of Directors and became The Chairman of WWE once again.
He’s back to sell the company and to ensure that they get the best deal possible, ahead of the upcoming RAW/SmackDown/NXT TV contract negotiations.
According to David Faber on Squawk on the Street, WWE’s sale process is going hot & heavy:
“From what I’m hearing, at least from people familiar with the situation, is it’s shaping up be a pretty good sale process.
Some people are saying it’s pretty hot and heavy and those who were somewhat doubtful that you’d get to a sale at the end seem less so.”
He also revealed that NBCUniversal/Comcast isn’t a part of the bidding war.
In an update from Fightful Select, Vince is open to leaving WWE forever if that’s what the new owner wants:
“It’s worth noting that both to higher ups in WWE, and to those close to him personally, Vince McMahon has claimed that he would be interested in a sale that didn’t involve him staying with the company.
McMahon has also downplayed rumors of influence on creative to claim to those close to him that he is back to either sell the company or oversee rights fee negotiations.
Virtually every source connected with a company that has been rumored to have interest was in agreement that if McMahon demanded to remain involved, it would negatively affect the sale price, leverage, and value of the brand moving forward.”
With the WWE sale rumored to complete after WrestleMania 39, Vince could soon be gone from WWE forever.
