• Vince McMahon Thought Undertaker Was “Just Another Tall Basketball Player”
If you ask Vince McMahon now, he’d agree that The Undertaker is one of the greatest of all time and one of the top draws in WWE history.
However, back in 1990, Vince didn’t think the same about Mark Calaway.
During a recent edition of Bruce Prichard’s Something To Wrestle podcast, Prichard revealed that Vince was scheduled to have a meeting with Taker after Taker’s match with Lex Luger at WCW’s Great American Bash 1990 pay-per-view.
However, Vince wasn’t interested in meeting Taker as he thought Taker was “just another tall basketball player with red hair”.
Bruce didn’t agree with that and kept on pushing Vince to have a meeting with Taker, and finally managed to arrange one, and Vince & Taker hit it off from that point.
The rest is history.
