• Vince McMahon Tore Down The Original SmackDown Script For Tonight

Due to the ongoing investigation of alleged misconduct by Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, Vince voluntarily stepped down from his position as CEO and Chairman of the Board until the conclusion of the investigation.

However, Vince is still going to handle the WWE creative and book storylines as usual.

Stephanie McMahon has been named the Interim CEO and the Interim Chairwoman.

Vince had the following to say about his decision:

“I have pledged my complete cooperation to the investigation by the Special Committee, and I will do everything possible to support the investigation. I have also pledged to accept the findings and outcome of the investigation, whatever they are.”

WWE has now announced that Vince McMahon will kick off tonight’s SmackDown at 8 PM EST.

According to Alex Sherman of CNBC, Vince tore the original script of tonight’s SmackDown and made changes after his appearance was added to tonight’s show.

He also reported that Vince will appear in his “Mr. McMahon” character tonight to talk about temporarily stepping down as the CEO & Chairman.

As of this writing, the following has been announced for tonight’s episode of SmackDown:

– Roman Reigns (c) vs. Riddle for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

– Max Dupri to reveal his first client into Maximum Male Models

– Vince McMahon will kick off the show
