• What Did Tony Khan Reply To Konnan When Asked About Reports Of Daniel Bryan Signing With AEW?

As we have reported before, word going on is that Daniel Bryan has signed with All Elite Wrestling.

Bryan wants to work a light schedule while making a good amount of money, and have creative control over his character. He also wants to wrestle in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

According to the Wrestling Observer, AEW’s working partnership with NJPW really sealed the deal for Bryan signing with WWE’s rival company.

Old School WCW Legend Konnan asked AEW President Tony Khan about Bryan’s signing, and revealed Khan’s response on his podcast.

Here’s what Konnan said:

“I will tell you this because I did ask Tony Khan. The only reason I asked him is because I wanted to use Bryan Danielson in AAA.

I was like, ‘Hey man, have you signed Bryan Danielson?’ He goes, ‘You know I can’t tell you that’ and then I looked at him and I go, ‘bro, if that **** shows up in Chicago, that place is gonna melt’, and he just smiled.

So I think he might have but he has not told me.”

Bryan is currently rumored to make his AEW debut on the September 22nd episode of Dynamite (which will be a special episode titled “Grand Slam”), which will take place at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
