Due to stricter control of leaked information, it has become more and more common for people to bet on WWE. Because the events are scripted, you won’t get odds as great as actual competitive sports. However, if you know what you’re doing, you can make a small amount of cash. You can make even more if you pay attention to the various features that online sportsbooks offer.
Now, not all sports betting features will be available for betting on the WWE. For example, it is unlikely that your selected sportsbook will let you live stream the sports. However, other features may be available.
So, we’ve gone through a list of gambling features analyzed in a recent article from AskGamblers, an online iGaming resource providing players with up-to-date information about online casinos. The article discusses the benefits of these features, which are the most popular, and if they vary from sport to sport –read more here: www.askgamblers.com/sports-betting/popular-features.
From AskGamblers’ list, we will let you know which ones work best with online WWE betting.
Bet Builder
As we already mentioned, WWE is scripted. Sorry to spoil it for you! This means that a good number of people will have a decent idea of how an event could potentially end up before it even happens. There has been a bit more control over leaks recently, but they still happen. This means that it is often easy to tell who is likely to win a WWE matchup before the event even takes place. It also means that the odds of betting on the winner will rarely be that great. This is where a bet builder comes into play.
A bet builder will allow you to combine multiple bets into one. This will lead to slightly better odds. For example, rather than just betting on the winner of a match, you can also bet on how it is going to end. Or you can bet on whether there will be any interference, or even how long the match could potentially last.
Honestly, when we are betting on WWE, we rarely bet the moneyline alone. It doesn’t deliver fantastically good odds. We combine our bets using bet builders. In the rare case that we do bet purely on the moneyline, we like to combine multiple matches into a single bet. However, you can go down whatever route you want.
Remember, while bet builders are great for getting more from your WWE bets, they can be riskier if you don’t know what you’re doing. The more bets you have on your bet builder, the more chance you have of losing. So, make sure you have a decent idea of what potential outcomes there are in a match before you decide to add the bets to your bet builder.
In-play betting
Admittedly, in-play betting isn’t as common as some of the other bets when it comes to WWE betting. Again, this is because matches are much more predictable. You’ll also find that some matches don’t last long enough for in-play betting to have an impact on the odds. However, when the option does appear, it’s always fun to dabble with.
For those who are unaware, in-play betting lets you bet while the match is happening. The betting odds are dynamic, so as more people place bets on the event, and the more action happens on the screen, the more the odds will change.
One of the great things about in-play betting on WWE is that while the outcome of the match is normally easy to predict, what happens during that match (outside of key storyline events) rarely is. This is because the wrestlers will work closely with the producer to devise a match that tells a story. However, during that match, the wrestlers will be a bit more experimental in the way they work. So, you might be able to bet on when the match ends, how many finishers will be hit, etc.
To make WWE in-play betting work, you need to bet when you are watching the event. Using your knowledge of the WWE and the wrestlers in action, you can gamble on how you think the rest of the match is going to pan out.
Do bear in mind that not all sportsbooks will have in-play betting for the WWE. When they do have it, you’ll also find that there will only be limited options available. Don’t expect there to be a wealth of bets like you would find in other sports, mostly because WWE betting has a lot less going on. However, this will make choosing the right bets a lot easier for you.
Early cashout
This isn’t amazingly common with WWE betting, but it does seem to be happening more and more.
If you have placed a bet and you’re currently winning it, then some sportsbooks will allow you to cash out your bet early. However, you can do so at reduced odds.
Much of the time we’ve seen this is when the match outcome leaks a little and it has become clear who is likely to win the match, so the sportsbook just pays out right away (or sometimes, when you request it).
That being said, while this feature is sometimes available for online WWE betting, it is one that we rarely use. This is because there is no sense in it. Early cash out is a betting feature that mostly only works when a game is unpredictable and you can make tactical bets. This doesn’t work so much on the WWE. Still, you might find a few ways that you can take advantage of this feature.
Choose the right sportsbook for WWE betting
While it is still more popular than it used to be, a lot of online sportsbooks still don’t offer WWE betting. When they do offer WWE betting, it will normally be for the major events that are on – for example, the premium live events rather than something like Smackdown or RAW.
This does mean that you’ll need to put a good amount of effort into tracking down the right online sportsbook for your WWE betting, especially if you want to have the features we listed above.
