Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring John Cena, WrestleMania 41 and The Usos.

• John Cena will return in 2025 for his retirement tour and WrestleMania 41 is going to be his final WrestleMania as an active wrestler.

We are being told that WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H wants to run the storyline of Cena chasing his record 17th World Title, by challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship in one of the main events (most likely Night 1) of WrestleMania 41.

No word yet on if Cena will break Ric Flair’s record or not, but Triple H feels it will be a missed opportunity to not touch on this story during Cena’s final year as a WWE Superstar.

WrestleMania 41 will mark the 20th anniversary of Cena’s 1st World Championship victory. At WrestleMania 21 in 2005, Cena defeated JBL to win the WWE Championship in the co-main event.

• A lot of fans were thinking that Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso will join forces again as The Usos and reunite with Roman Reigns to attack Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline at SummerSlam 2024.

However, Jimmy is still on his hiatus, while Jey wasn’t used at the PLE. Only Roman returned and took out Sikoa.

According to Fightful Select, WWE never had any plans for The Usos to come out at SummerSlam:

“Contrary to speculation online, there was never a plan or an audible called from an original plan to feature Jimmy Uso or Jey Uso in the match.”

However, The Usos and Sami Zayn are expected to reunite with Reigns to form the original Bloodline at Survivor Series 2024, for a rumored battle against Solo, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa & Jacob Fatu in a WarGames Match.
