• Why Brock Lesnar Wanted To K*ll Former WWF Personality

During an interview with the ‘2 Man Power Trip Of Wrestling’ podcast, former WWF/WCW writer Vince Russo spoke about an incident in which he once called former WWF Women’s Champion Sable on the phone at home, not knowing she was already with Brock Lesnar at that time, and that resulted in Lesnar threatening to kill Russo.

Here’s what the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion had to say:

“I get a call from Kurt Angle. And Kurt said to me ‘Vince, what did you do?’. And I’m like ‘Kurt, what are you talking about what did you do?’. ‘What did you say to Brock Lesnar?’ I’m like ‘What?’.

He goes, ‘Vince, this guy wants to kill you. You call him to speak to Rena (Sable), you don’t introduce yourself to him, you don’t have a conversation with him, and he says you totally disrespected him, and now he wants to kill you.’”

Vince Russo is best remembered for his time as the editor of the WWF Magazine, that eventually got him a promotion to being part of the WWF creative team by 1996 and becoming the WWF head writer in 1997.

By October 1999, he jumped ship to Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, where he had two stints as the head writer, but was eventually sent home again in October 2000.

His last major position was being the head writer for Total Nonstop Action! (TNA) from 2002 until 2004 and again from 2006 till 2011.

• Old School WWF Tag Team Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School World Wrestling Federation Veteran Bart Gunn (Real name: Michael Polchlopek) turns 57 today.

Bart Gunn first joined the WWF in 1993 as one half of The Smoking Gunns with his Tag Team partner Billy Gunn and together they won the WWF Tag Team Champions 3 times.

While his 1998 Tag Team with Bob Holly as The New Midnight Express wasn’t exactly successful, Bart Gunn did make a name for himself by winning the infamous ‘Brawl For All’ tournament.

He returned for one night at the ‘RAW 15th Anniversary Spectacular’ on December 10, 2007 as a participant in a Battle Royal that featured a lot of Old School 90s WWF Wrestlers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BART GUNN!
