The Phenomenal One was traded to SmackDown last week, after which he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in the first round of the Intercontinental Championship tournament to qualify for the semi-finals.
On tonight’s SmackDown, he was set to face off against Elias for a spot in the finals. However, Elias was strangely taken out before the match. Another interesting thing is that AJ Styles directly qualified for the finals after the accident.
It could be possible that Styles attacked Elias, as it not only took his opponent out of the way, but it also earned him a free ticket to the finals.
