• WWE Cancelled A Major Match In 2020
During a recent episode of The Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, a fan asked Andrew Zarian (who has broken a lot of news stories as of late) if WWE is planning “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. “The Demon King” Finn Balor for SummerSlam 2021.
Zarian then went on to reveal that WWE was actually planning to do this match in 2020, but they were forced to change the plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Fiend character picked up his first win in WWE by defeating Finn Balor at SummerSlam 2019.
After his loss, Balor took some time off and then returned to NXT and hasn’t returned to the WWE main roster since.
The Fiend’s last match took place at WrestleMania 37, where he was defeated by Randy Orton.
The Demon King’s last match took place at Super ShowDown 2019, where he defeated Andrade to retain the Intercontinental Championship. The Demon King gimmick is undefeated on the WWE Main Roster.

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on June 16, 1992, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW Clash Of The Champions XIX: NWA World Tag Team Title Tournament’ LIVE on TBS from the McAlister Field House of The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
This was the 19th out of a total of 35 Clash of the Champions events, that aired between 1988 and 1997.
