• WWE Discussing A Triple Threat Title Match At WrestleMania 39
As we have reported before, Sheamus was pushing for his trilogy with Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39.
However, WWE Officials are interested in doing Gunther vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship, with McIntyre dethroning Gunther.
In an update, WrestleVotes is now reporting that WWE is now discussing a Triple Threat Match:
“I’m told while not decided 100%, there are plans to feature an Intercontinental Championship 3 way match at WrestleMania: Gunther vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre.
There are a number of supporters within creative that not only want the match, but they want it towards the top. TBD.”
