On this day in 1998, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Shotgun Saturday Night ‘.
It was pre-taped at the CoreStates Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 1998’ PPV.

• WWE Draft Coming Soon, NXT Wrestlers Possibly Appearing On RAW
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE is expected to do a Draft soon to build permanent RAW & SmackDown rosters ahead of SmackDown’s move to FOX:
“Right now there is a concept of another draft type of thing to build permanent Raw and SmackDown rosters. What we were originally told is that they wouldn’t be making major changes, but some changes.”
Also, with NXT moving to the USA Network, some NXT wrestlers will appear on RAW to promote NXT’s move to TV and encourage fans who aren’t familiar with the NXT product to tune in and watch.
