During a recent episode of his weekly ‘The Snake Pit’ podcast, WWF Legend Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts revealed a story about late WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer from back in the day, about a conversation The Undertaker’s famous manager had with Jake at a hotel in Pennsylvania.
Here’s what Roberts said:
“I go to breakfast the next morning, and Paul Bearer comes in ‘Jake, may I sit with you?’. Sure Paul, sit down.
‘Oh, what a horrible night’. I’m like ‘What’s wrong, man?’. ‘Oh, my wife. Oh my God. I don’t know what I’m going to do’.
What the f**k, man? Y’all breaking up? What?
‘Oh, it’s worse than that, Jake’. What, did she die?
‘No. God no. That might actually help’. I’m like ‘The f**k, man? What’s going on?’.
He’s like ‘Last night, I went to that lovely room. I got into the heart-shaped bath tub. Laid in that. Got out. Drank some champagne. Then I kicked back on that heart-shaped bed. I look up at the f**king mirror in the ceiling. I look at my body. My gross f**king shapes. Couldn’t find my d*ck. I thought to myself – What f**king woman would f**k that? Jake, I married a sick b*tch’.”
William Moody first started in 1979 as a pro-wrestling manager named Percy Pringle III, working for various territories, including Championship Wrestling from Florida and Fritz Von Erich’s World Class Championship Wrestling.
He is however most famous for portraying Paul Bearer in the World Wrestling Federation from February 1991 until Spring 2000 and again in 2004 & 2010, managing huge stars like The Undertaker, Mankind, Vader and (his kayfabe son) Kane.
