Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, featuring Hulk Hogan, Donald Trump and more.
• MSNBC political host Joy Reid attributes Donald Trump’s 2024 US Presidential win to Generation X voters, specifically those aged 44-59 who grew up watching Hulk Hogan and WWF/E.
Reid argues that this generation’s exposure to wrestling icons like Hogan has influenced a cultural mindset that has paved the way for Trump’s return to the White House. During MSNBC’s special coverage of the 2024 election, Reid commented:
“My generation, Generation X, the people who grew up on WWE and Hulk Hogan and Donald Trump, did this. They did this. They are the ones who looked in the face of somebody who looked them in the face and said, ‘I want to be a dictator on day one.’ We did this.”

Reid’s remarks underscore the connection between Trump and wrestling culture, as numerous wrestling legends — including Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Kane (Glenn Jacobs), and Ric Flair — have expressed their support for him and even campaigned for him.
Additionally, Linda McMahon served in Trump’s cabinet as head of the Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019 and later led a PAC backing his reelection. She now serves as co-chair of his transition team.
