Will WWE ever go back to their old setup for Madison Square Garden events, or come up with something different?

WrestleVotes reported:

“I was asked why doesn’t WWE set up MSG like it has Puerto Rico or London for SmackDown? Considering tickets are white hot, I asked.

‘It’s just not what we do’ is what I got back. Think about that. 😒”

Andrew Zarian then reported:

“WWE will be considering running a much smaller stage set up in the future at MSG.

It will depend on early ticket sales.”

According to PWInsider, last night’s SmackDown at Madison Square Garden drew the biggest live gate (revenue from ticket sales) for a WWE event in the history of this famous arena.

There was a big sense of pride backstage among WWE Executives after reaching this milestone.

The show was sold out with 13,528 fans in attendance. The show featured some big storylines, including the “Trial of the Tribal Chief”, which featured the aftermath of Roman Reigns getting pinned after 3.5 years, and the return of Edge later in the show, who also wrestled a match.
