• WWE Is Forcing Wrestlers To Sign New Contracts That Include Twitch Policy

As we noted earlier, WWE is set to take ownership of their wrestlers’ Twitch accounts in 4 weeks. Under this rule, wrestlers will receive a percentage of the revenue, which counts against their downside guarantees.

Former US Presidential candidate, Andrew Yang, took to Twitter today to reveal that some wrestlers have reached out to him to tell him that WWE is forcing them to sign contracts including Twitch.

“Hearing from talent that WWE is forcing performers to sign new contracts that include twitch. Streaming on twitch will become a work obligation and if talent doesn’t stream they will forego earnings, be suspended or face penalties. Doesn’t sound like independent contractors.”
