• WWE Is Interested In Top AEW Tag Team

According to Fightful Select, WWE wants to bring AEW Tag Team FTR (fka The Revival) back to the company:

“WWE has expressed interest internally about possibly bringing back the team formerly known as The Revival.

In 2019, the two passed up what were then huge offers of $850,000 each, with Mark Carrano even mentioning that he could possibly get them to $1 million each before they left for All Elite Wrestling.

WWE is unable to approach FTR directly (right now).”

FTR is one of the top tag teams in the world today. Below are their major accomplishments in pro-wrestling:

– 2x WWE RAW Tag Team Champions

– 1x WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions

– 2x WWE NXT Tag Team Champions

– First WWE Tag Team Triple Crown Champions

– 1x WWE 24/7 Champion

– 1x AEW World Tag Team Champions

– 1x ROH World Tag Team Champions (current)

– 1x AAA World Tag Team Champions (current)

At an upcoming indy event, FTR will be managed by Bret Hart for one night only.

• ON THIS DAY IN WWF HISTORY (April 19, 1986) – WWF Superstars of Wrestling

On this day in 1986, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.

This was the original third nationally syndicated show that later became known as “WWF Wrestling Spotlight” after the August 30, 1986 episode.

NOT to be confused with the famous “WWF Superstars of Wrestling” TV show, that eventually took over WWF Championship Wrestling in September 1986 and ran until 1997, before becoming a recap/highlights show that ran till 2001.
