Below are a couple of top WrestleMania news stories of the day.

• WWE is exploring the possibility of adding a unique event to its already packed WrestleMania 41 week in Las Vegas. Beyond the two-night WrestleMania 41 premium live event, NXT Stand & Deliver, the Hall of Fame ceremony, and the usual RAW and SmackDown episodes, a new concept is being discussed.

According to WrestleVotes, an “outside-the-box” idea is being considered for the Sunday night following WrestleMania 41’s second night, April 20th.

The proposed event, tentatively titled “The Roast of WrestleMania,” would be a comedic show featuring celebrity roaster Tony Hinchcliffe:

“According to a well-placed source, WWE has discussed an ‘outside-the-box’ idea of running a post-WrestleMania event in Las Vegas on Sunday night, 4/20. We’re told the concept would be ‘The Roast of WrestleMania,’ featuring comedic megastar Tony Hinchcliffe.”

Tony Hinchcliffe, a well-known comedian and avid WWE fan, has frequently attended WWE shows and has been a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience alongside interviewed wrestlers. His involvement would bring a distinct comedic edge to the WrestleMania week festivities.

This proposed “Roast of WrestleMania” event would offer a different kind of entertainment, potentially providing a lighthearted and humorous conclusion to the intense wrestling action.

If approved, it would further solidify WrestleMania week as a comprehensive entertainment experience, extending beyond the in-ring competition.

• On The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if there’s going to be a #1 contender stipulation added to the rumored Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins triple threat match at WrestleMania 41.

Ross told fans to not expect it as that’s not something that WWE likes to do for WrestleMania:

“Something WWE doesn’t like to do especially on WrestleMania because it’s such an evergreen show, they don’t necessarily like to say it’s a top contendership match because 20 years down the line people probably won’t remember that it’s a top contender match but they’ll remember that the match happened.”
