Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day.
• During an interview on Busted Open Radio, ROH Tag Team Champion & 6-Man Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes said he doesn’t want another match with his half-brother, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, but he still wants to become a World Champion.
Here’s what the man formerly known as Goldust said:
“A lot of people have asked me that, and not necessarily, man. I’ve done so much stuff with Cody already. We had our really good match together (at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019). I can’t and would not try to duplicate that or even try to better that. I don’t want to mess with that at all. And Cody has moved on and transcended me in this business, and is doing such a fantastic job.
I think anything with me involved in the mix, would just bring it down. And that’s my true, honest opinion on it. Cody’s rise to fame here has been exponential, man. It’s been unbelievable to watch, and I’m sure Dad is very proud of him and proud of both of us, but it feels like I’m the one left out because I haven’t got the World Title and I still want it.
I still do want it and I know there’s an opportunity for me to maybe get it before I retire, I really do. I really believe that.
Is it good business? I think so because I can work as a working champion, as long as you want, and do just as good a job as anybody else in our business.”

• Ax (Bill Eadie) & Smash (Barry Darsow) of Demolition have mended their relationship with WWE, potentially paving the way for a long-awaited Hall of Fame induction.
The tension between Demolition and WWE stemmed from a 1997 lawsuit over name and gimmick rights, as well as their involvement in a 2016 concussion-related class-action lawsuit. However, Barry Darsow recently revealed that WWE invited them to last year’s WrestleMania and Hall of Fame ceremony, though they were unable to attend due to prior commitments.
With Triple H now leading creative, WWE has been more open to honoring Legends, regardless of past disputes. Eadie has since expressed optimism about their future with the company.
Their profile was recently reinstated on WWE’s Alumni section, and PWInsider is now reporting that hey have signed a WWE Legends Contract, which will allow them to be a part of WWE’s video games and have action figures.
The tag team later expanded with the addition of Crush (Brian Adams). As 3-time WWF Tag Team Champions, Demolition had a record-breaking title reign and still holds the record for most combined days as champions. They were also involved in classic rivalries with legendary tag teams like The Road Warriors, The Hart Foundation, and The British Bulldogs.
