• WWE Made Changes To Brock Lesnar’s Segment On SmackDown Due To NXT Wrestlers

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar appeared on last week’s episode of SmackDown and quit the show, as he wanted to go to RAW to face Rey Mysterio.

Lesnar wasn’t scheduled to appear on SmackDown, but WWE requested him to as other top stars were stuck in Saudi Arabia.

PWInsider is reporting that Brock wasn’t scheduled to open the show, but WWE ended up doing that because NXT wrestlers hadn’t arrived yet. Also, WWE aired the complete Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez match from Crown Jewel and the post-match attack by Rey Mysterio in full length to give NXT wrestlers some more time to arrive to the show:

“I was told that the Brock Lesnar segment that we saw at the beginning of SmackDown was scheduled for later on in the show, but instead it was moved up to the 8:00 hour and they even extended that segment by playing the complete Cain Velasquez match from Crown Jewel in order to give the NXT talents additional time to get to the building.”
