4. Al Snow Reveals Why The Kennel From Hell Match Turned Out To Be A Failure
During a recent appearance on The Hannibal TV, former WWF Star Al Snow talked about his “Kennel From Hell” match with late great WWE Hall of Famer Big Boss Man and revealed why it turned out to be a failure.
Snow says Vince Russo, who was the head WWF writer at that time, wanted to get rid of “The Head” gimmick. Russo saw the movie “Son of Sam” and in that movie a character heard voices from a Chihuahua and the Kennel From Hell idea came from that.
Al Snow notes that he wanted trained dogs to be used in that match, but the WWF staff didn’t listen to him and Snow ended up having no idea about what to do with them during the match.
Vince McMahon later apologized to both Snow & Boss Man.
