2. Former WWF Jobber “Cowboy” Frankie Lane Passes Away
We just got informed that former WWF enhancement talent “Cowboy” Frankie Lane died 2 weeks ago today, on May 24, 2016 because of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He was 73 years old.
Frankie Lane (Real Name: Frank Luhovy) started his Professional Wrestling career in 1966 and wrestled in many territories during the 60s, 70s and 80s, including the AWA, NWA, CWF, GCW, Memphis, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Calgary Stampede Wrestling, … & many more, before becoming a prelim wrestler for the WWF World Wrestling Federation in 1986 & 1987.
After Frank retired from professional Wrestling in 1987, he started running his family’s 700-acre farm in Alvinston (Ontario, Canada).
It’s been reported that he was responsible for bringing “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka into Pro-Wrestling.
