The WWE Payback premium live event will make its return after 3 years on Saturday, September 2nd at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The build-up for the show is underway, but WWE hasn’t announced any matches for the show so far. However, some matches have been teased and will likely take place at Payback.
One of the matches that is expected to take place at the event is Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the World Heavyweight Championship, as Rollins agreed to give Nakamura a title match at a place and timing of his choice on this week’s RAW.
WWE also revealed that Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus 4 will happen inside a Steel Cage, and it will likely happen at Payback as well.
According to insider source BWE, WWE is also considering a Triple Threat Match for Payback, but it’s unknown who will be involved in it yet.
There’s a possibility that it will be a Triple Threat Tag Team match between the team of Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits, The Brawling Brutes and The OC, as Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins recently attacked Brawling Brutes & OC.
Another possibility is a WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match between IYO SKY, Asuka and Charlotte Flair.
