On this day in 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly syndicated TV show ‘WWF Jakked’ (night version) aka ‘WWF Metal’ (afternoon version).
It featured pre-taped mid-card matches on the road to the ‘WWF Backlash 2001’ PPV.

• WWE Pulled A Released Wrestler From Working Last Night’s RAW
RAW wrestler Sarah Logan was among the 45+ WWE employees that were released from the company last week. According to Fightful, people backstage in WWE reportedly “went to bat” for Logan following her release and they hope that WWE will give another chance to Logan.
She was mentioned multiple times on RAW last night. She was also slated to work last night’s show, but plans changed at the last moment.
Dave Meltzer stated during the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio that Logan was planned to show up on RAW, but she was pulled from the show for unknown reasons:
“Sarah Logan was actually supposed to be on the show on one of two points during the show and they were mentioning her name.
So if Sarah Logan was on the show, but she was not she was in fact scripted to be on the show and after the show started she was taken off the show. Don’t ask me why.
People are wondering why are they talking about her? The mentality is that they can use her for 90 days. She was gonna be on the show and then somebody made the call that she’s not gonna be on the show even though it was scripted that they keep saying her name.”
So the reason why Logan was being mentioned so many times on last night’s RAW is because WWE pulled her from the show, but they didn’t remove her name from the script.
