• WWE Refused To Pay For Sir Mo’s Kidney Transplant
Former WWF Tag Team Champion Sir Mo (real name: Bobby Horne) has passed away at 58 after a long battle with blood infection and pneumonia. Before his death, Horne reportedly asked WWE for financial help to afford a kidney transplant, but the company turned him down.
According to Dave Meltzer, Horne needed around $30,000 for the procedure and reached out to WWE, pointing out that the company regularly offers to pay for rehab for former wrestlers. WWE declined, as its policy only covers drug rehabilitation programs, not organ transplants or cancer treatments.
Horne eventually raised the money himself and underwent the transplant, but his health continued to decline in the following years. He also battled liver issues, dialysis treatments, and severe complications from COVID-19.
Sir Mo was best known for being part of Men on a Mission with Mabel (Viscera / Big Daddy V) and Oscar in the World Wrestling Federation.
• Top Star Might Be Injured On RAW
On last night’s episode of RAW, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer defeated Roxanne Perez in a non-title match.
After the match, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne double teamed on Stephanie, which led to WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella making her return to the red brand to make the save for Vaquer.
During this post-match brawl, Stephanie slipped on the ropes and was seen holding her knee. She was also seen limping while going backstage.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Vaquer might have injured her knee during this brawl, but there’s no confirmation on it as of this writing. We’ll keep you updated on Stephanie’s status.
Speaking of injuries, Seth Rollins has vacated the World Heavyweight Championship due to his shoulder injury. The new World Champion will be crowned on November 1st at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where CM Punk will face Jey Uso for the vacant title.
• Drew McIntyre Was Set To Form A Faction With 3 Released Wrestlers
Gallus was released by WWE in the spring of 2025 after spending 7 years with the company. The group debuted in NXT UK and later moved to NXT following the closure of the UK brand.
Speaking on Mic Check with Mr. Anderson, Wolfgang revealed that he, Joe and Mark Coffey were supposed to join Drew McIntyre and form a faction on the WWE main roster in 2023, but the plan never materialized due to CM Punk’s return at Survivor Series: WarGames as creative changed its direction.
“We were ready for main roster, even when we got to NXT, it was good to get there and get involved but we were ready to go at the drop of a hat to main roster, and I know for a fact that we were scheduled to be there.
We were like three weeks out, and then three weeks came and they said ‘it’s actually like three months’ and the phrase they used was ‘the can keeps getting kicked down the road.’
If you go look at the 2023 Survivor Series program for the main roster, or the 2024 Royal Rumble, there’s no one else in NXT in that, except for Gallus. And we’re right next to a full page spread of Drew McIntyre.
So I think there was a plan for us to join Drew McIntyre at some point and then CM Punk showed up and the can kept getting kicked down the road and they didn’t need us anymore. And I think they got stuck. ‘This is what we’re doing, we’ll get to it at some point’. They never even considered how else we’re going to do it.”
Drew McIntyre teamed up with The Judgment Day at Survivor Series: WarGames in 2023. He went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 a couple of months later. His reign didn’t last long as Damian Priest immediately cashed-in his Money In The Bank contract on him.
