4. Seeds For Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt At WrestleMania 32 Planted
As we reported before, WWE is planning to do Brock Lesnar – Wyatt Family feud for the WrestleMania 32 season. The seeds for that feud were planted at Royal Rumble 2016 when the whole Wyatt Family ganged up on Lesnar and eliminated him (Harper, Rowan & Strowman re-entered the Rumble after getting eliminated to help Bray fight Lesnar).
This feud is now scheduled to end at WrestleMania 32.
3. Triple H Becomes 14 Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion
“The Game” Triple H made history by winning the Royal Rumble 2016 match to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This is his 14th reign as the World Champion.
Triple H eliminated 4 wrestlers:
– Roman Reigns
– Dean Ambrose
– Bray Wyatt (along with Sheamus)
– Dolph Ziggler
2. Two New Additions To Royal Rumble Statistics
There are now 3 men who have won the Royal Rumble match from #30 position:
1. The Undertaker (2007)
2. John Cena (2008)
3. Triple H (2016)
Also, Triple H joined the following wrestlers who have won multiple Royal Rumble matches:
