At tonight’s WWE NXT New Year’s Evil special, Thea Hail vs. Blake Monroe for the NXT Women’s North American Championship was canceled due to Blake attacking Thea before the bell rang.
NXT General Manager Ava (The Rock’s daughter) announced that Blake will no longer get a title shot and was banned from the building.

Thea Hail told Ava that she still wanted to compete and defend her title. Thea’s open challenge was answered by Izzi Dame. Izzi went on to defeat Thea to become the new Women’s North American Champion.
Ava tweeted the following after banning Blake from the building: “pi$$ off @BlakeMonroeWWE”
This led to Blake replying: “don’t make me call daddy you power tripping nepo baby b*tch.”

– Ricky Saints said 2026 will be his year and he will be watching the NXT Title match between Oba Femi and Leon Slater, and will be targeting whoever leaves with the title.

– A vignette was shown for “The French Luchador” Elio Lefleur.
– NXT Women’s Championship Match: Jacy Jayne (c) def. WWE Evolve Women’s Champion Kendal Grey to retain the title
– NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Izzi Dame def. Thea Hail (c) to win the title
– Joe Hendry met Ava and requested a No DQ match against Dion Lennox for next week.
– A brawl broke out between Ethan Page, Jasper Troy, Josh Briggs, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Shiloh Hill, and Tavion Heights. Hill got the upper hand to stand tall.
– Ava announced that Jordynne Grace has officially joined the WWE main roster.
– NXT Championship Match: Oba Femi (c) def. TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater to retain the title
After the match, Oba vacated the NXT Title and left the belt in the ring.
