• WWE Under Pressure As WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Trail

The Show of Shows is facing an unexpected hurdle in the desert. According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE leadership convened an emergency multi-departmental meeting to address a concerning trend: WrestleMania 42 ticket sales are currently trailing significantly behind last year’s record-breaking pace.

With the event in Las Vegas just two months away, every department within the company has been put on notice. Personnel are now tasked with developing aggressive new promotional strategies to ignite interest and drive momentum as the calendar turns toward March. Despite the internal pressure to move seats, the company has decided to hold the line on its premium pricing strategy for now, opting for marketing blitzes over price cuts.

The data from WrestleTix paints a clear picture of why management is sweating. As of mid-February, approximately 36,000 tickets have been distributed for each night at Allegiant Stadium. While that would be a success for almost any other show, it’s a noticeable dip compared to WrestleMania 41. At this same point last year, WWE had moved roughly 10,000 more tickets per night, eventually closing with a distributed count near 60,000 for each night.

In a move that has frustrated local business owners, WWE is reportedly enforcing a strict 50-mile blackout radius around Allegiant Stadium. This policy prohibits bars, sportsbooks, and restaurants from hosting WrestleMania watch parties, even if they are willing to pay the standard commercial licensing fees.

By closing the cheaper escape hatch of a local bar, WWE hopes to force tourists and locals into buying stadium tickets. This hasn’t sat well with Las Vegas officials, who paid a significant site fee to bring the event back to the city specifically to boost local commerce across the board, not just for the venue itself.

• Real Reason Brody King Didn’t Appear On AEW Dynamite

A scheduling conflict, not a corporate ban, was the true reason for Brody King’s absence from the February 11 episode of AEW Dynamite.

While earlier rumors suggested that Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) had pulled King to avoid political chants, PWInsider has confirmed that King was never actually scheduled to appear at this week’s show. The logistics of the upcoming Grand Slam Australia event forced King and several other roster members to depart from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Wednesday night, placing them in the air during the live broadcast.

WBD has since issued an official statement to shut down speculation that they intervened due to the viral “F**k ICE” chants from the previous week. The network clarified that they have no involvement in King’s specific booking schedule and called any claims of a ban or political suppression “categorically false.”

To further distance themselves from the controversy, WBD confirmed that King remains a featured part of their programming. He is set to headline the Grand Slam Australia event against MJF for the AEW World Championship, which will air this Saturday on both TNT and HBO Max.
