• WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman Denies Talks With AEW

As we noted earlier, The Wrestling Observer reported that many big names in WWE reached out to AEW to discuss a possible future with the company. This includes “virtually everybody” on the WWE roster, whether AEW has shown interest in them or not.

The Observer noted that the only name who didn’t reach out to AEW was Roman Reigns.

WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman took to Instagram to deny reaching out to AEW, as he personally messaged a news site to clear things up, and also called out Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer for reporting this.

Below is what Strowman wrote about Meltzer in his Instagram story:

“Dork Marksler with yet more #FakeNews

#NotThisGuy”

Strowman is scheduled to defend the Universal Championship against The Fiend this coming Sunday at WWE SummerSlam 2020 pay-per-view.
