• WWE Wants To Bring Back Ronda Rousey

WWE is reportedly interested in bringing back former Women’s Champion and UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey, according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live. But it’s unclear if Rousey is open to a return.

Alvarez said the company still has plans in mind for her. “WWE does still want to do something with Ronda Rousey,” he said. He also spoke about Shayna Baszler, who was recently released but shares a close personal and professional history with Rousey.

“Shayna Baszler obviously retired Ronda Rousey, or at least her last match in WWE. So I could not say that there’s no chance we’ll never see Shayna Baszler again. I cannot say we’ll never see Shayna again because if WWE makes a deal with Ronda and Ronda wants Shayna back, she’ll be back,” Alvarez explained.

Rousey left WWE in 2023 after losing to Baszler at SummerSlam. She later wrestled a few tag matches on the independent scene and in ROH, but her last match took place in November 2023.

Since her exit, Rousey has been openly critical of WWE and previously accused Drew Gulak of inappropriate backstage behavior.

Rousey made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, teaming with Kurt Angle to defeat Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. She went on to win multiple championships and also won the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble.

• AEW Star Says New WWE Show Could Flop Big Time

WWE recently revealed a new show, WWE Unreal, which will provide a behind the scenes look into the creative process that goes into producing WWE programming.

On a recent edition of Jeff Jarrett’s podcast ‘My World,’ Double J stated his opinions on the new show. He believes it has the potential to be a hit if executed correctly:

“I think it’s going to all come down to execution. I think that wrestling is much more of a hybrid form of entertainment.”

The current AEW star also claimed if WWE does not produce the show in the correct way, it may not be the success that they hope it to be:

“I do think it has the potential to be fantastic, but it also has the potential to really bomb.”
