• Old School WWF Midget Wrestler Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Midget Wrestler Dink The Clown (Real name: Claude Giroux) celebrates his 64th birthday today.

Under the ring name “Tiger Jackson”, he used to wrestle in midget matches during the 80s & early 90s, including a stint in the World Wrestling Federation, where he joined The Bushwhackers in their rivalry against The Beverly Brothers and their sidekick, fellow midget wrestler Little Louie.

After a few appearances as a midget version of Randy Savage, called “The Macho Midget”, Giroux adapted the character of Dink The Clown, a midget version of Doink The Clown, who had just turned babyface a few weeks earlier, after Matt Borne was fired and Ray Apollo took over as Doink.

Dink accompanied Doink to the ring until both men left the WWF in mid-1995.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DINK THE CLOWN!

• WWF Legend Pitched The Idea Of Ryback Breaking The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak

While speaking on his Saturday Night Special, Old School WWF Legend & current AEW wrestler Chris Jericho revealed that he wanted Ryback to break The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak, but the idea wasn’t accepted.

Below is what Le Champion said:

“I think Ryback is great. I think he was a huge star that was kind of buried by politics for whatever reason and actually, when I came back to WWE, the year I worked with Fandango, I was originally supposed to work with Ryback. That’s what we had kind of worked out at the time and for whatever reason, Ryback didn’t happen. Vince changed his mind as he has wanted to do, like I said and they changed it to Fandango.

But there was a time where Ryback was so popular, that I suggested he should be the guy that beats The Undertaker. He’s the one and it didn’t go that way and sometimes there’s complaints about his work.

I loved working with Ryback. I did a bunch of house shows with him in Calgary, and we had great matches so really, really a big fan of Ryback, especially at the time, probably 2014, 2015 when he was kind of at his peak.”

Jericho does have a point here, as the WWE pay-per-view buys were increasing when Ryback began his short main event push.
