5. Kofi Kingston Retains The WWE Championship

Kofi Kingston challenged Randy Orton to a WWE Championship match at SummerSlam a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown. Orton came out and accepted the challenge, which was no surprise to the WWE Universe. Orton also tried to hit an RKO on Kingston during his match against Samoa Joe, but failed miserably. Instead, the WWE Champion returned the favour with a Trouble In Paradise.
The rivalry has been in the making for 11 years. The WWE Champion and The Viper could not meet in person for the past two weeks, as Orton left for a vacation to Maldives. The Viper recorded an interview in which he strongly criticized Kingston, and called his win at WrestleMania 35 a fluke.
Kingston was also interviewed this week on SmackDown, and he promised to take Orton down to prove him wrong.
Kofi Kingston will be having his biggest match as the WWE Champion tonight. The way WWE has built him so far, it looks like Kingston will get the win tonight. Moreover, Orton will also put him over this time, because he’s not around as much as he used to a couple of years ago.
Tonight, Kingston might finally avenge the humiliation Orton caused to him eleven years ago. Only time will tell if Kingston will prove his critics wrong, or will Randy Orton walk out with his 14th WWE Title.
