2. Charlotte Flair Defeats Trish Stratus
Charlotte Flair challenged Trish Stratus to a match at SummerSlam 2019, when the seven-time Women’s Champion returned to SmackDown on The King’s Court with Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Flair could not earn herself a SmackDown Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam, but she landed up in an even better match, with a legendary opponent, as she promised.
Charlotte Flair has received a huge push from WWE. Every year, she wins at least one title. Her push could continue at SummerSlam, by defeating Trish Stratus in her hometown, and establishing her as a bigger threat on the WWE roster.
Knowing WWE, they will make Stratus put over Flair, as most of the legends lose their last match to put over the young talent. Secondly, she’s competing in her hometown, which is another factor going against her, because we all know how Vince McMahon has set the trend of embarrassing wrestlers in their hometown.
So we can expect Stratus to pass the torch to Flair, and leave the Scotiabank Arena as the loser. However, there is a possibility that she will get enough time after the match to get a proper send-off from the crowd.
